School curriculum and school work plan
Chapter 12

School curriculum and school work plan

Each school shall publish its policy in two ways. On the one hand, the general policy is published in the school curriculum guide, and on the other hand, information that varies from year to year is published in the annual work plan. The school principal is responsible for preparing the school curriculum guide and work plan and shall draw them up in consultation with the school’s teachers and other staff who have thereby committed to implementing them. The school council shall discuss the school curriculum guide and the school’s annual work plan. The school committee confirms their entry into force when it is clear that they have been prepared in accordance with laws, regulations, the National Curriculum Guide, school policy, collective agreements and decisions of the local government on school management arrangements. The following sections contain criteria for aspects that need to be included in the school curriculum guide on the one hand and the work plan on the other. Schools have some leeway in their implementation.
